Gateway 500 + BTA1500 + AVR
In order to install an iPod interface in to true MMI enabled vehicles (A5, A6, A8 and Q7), you must use the correct optical interface that will integrate into the vehicles MOST optical network. We choose to use the top of the range Dension Gateway 500 system. It's robust, reliable, technologically advanced, easy to use and has an excellent user interface through the MMI system.

Media Device Interface (MDI) kit for VW, Seat & Skoda MFD3/RNS-510, RCD-510, Bolero, Nexus & Columbus Integration
By far the best solution for the RNS-510 & RCD-510 family of units is VW's own MDI (Media Device Interface). It interfaces your iPod or iPhone directly with the RNS or RCD unit via a cable in your glovebox. This cable can also be easily changed by the user, for say, a USB version so you can access a USB pendrive, hardrive etc. Please note that the MDI may not work with certain versions of the RNS-510 manufactured before 1st February 2008 due to firmware level. We would need to upgrade the firmware of the unit in order for these units to work with the MDI kit. The MDI kit will also display track info on your MFA+ display in your instrument cluster (assuming you have the 'Highline' version).

Alpine KCE-425i with OEM Control/Integration for Audi RNS-E Sat Nav
The Alpine KCE-425i is a fully integrated iPod interface solution for Audi's RNS-E sat nav systems. With additional hardware that we install, it will integrate into your RNS-E system and gives you full control over your iPod (artist, album, genre etc). With this setup you can even use your iPod Video to play videos through your RNS-E. Along with installing the kit, we also install video-in-motion at the same time in order to use this kit at it's best.

One thing to note however is that this setup will not work with a factory TV tuner if you have one, therefore it must be disconnected in order to install this kit.
